To live somewhere for an extended period of time and/or to have children and send them to school.

After Leroy got his degree, he decided to plant roots in Austin.

The feeling when you're so high that you begin to melt into whatever you're sitting or laying on. The feeling originates in there main areas, the back of your head, your spine, and your feet. The rest of the body then begins to follow and plant it's roots. You have to resist the urge to fall asleep.
