put a dip in

A command which, aside from it's literal meaning referring to chewing tobacco, may be used to tell a person they need to man up, regardless of whether or not the speaker intends for the person to actually "put a dip in".

Mike: I'm so hammered. I can't drink anymore, man.

Jackson: Don't be a pussy. Put a dip in and drink a beer.
