They released the concept album "Operation Mindcrime" in 1988, earning the respect of fans and critics alike. Singer/keyboardist Geoff Tate has a stunning voice often described as "operatic". I saw Queensryche at a club near a university 2 years ago and they are dynamic performers. Queensryche, who are inspired by Pink Floyd and Rush and other bands, are often referred to as the "thinking man's heavy metal band". Check them out live.

A word associated with musical wisdom. Lyrically poetic and logical which leaves an impression upon one's mind. Theatrical and emotional representation of music and self expression. Sounds of clear and beauty with perfect pitch and precision. The voice of perfection and by far superior amongst all others. As a whole it can create and recreate again and again presenting it each time or each chapter different then the last; Never the same.

Influential 80's Concept Rock/Metal band that was fronted by the best vocalist alive- Geoff Tate. Their best song by FAR is "Jet City Woman" off the album "Empire"-their best album.
Judas Priest and Queensryche are on tour now and if you are into seeing 2 fat bald dudes who can sing nonetheless perform, this is the concert to go to!
