Reed's Law

Reed's law states that "the person who names a thing is often more powerful than the real discoverer."

The Missionary position is a perfect example of Reed's Law, as the position is named after Chester Missionary, an 18th century sex pest, rather than the caveman who invented it 1 million years prior.
