rower

rowers: a group of people who voluntarily go outside at 5:30 am to practice. They row through sun, rain, snow, and 12 degree weather. They carry their $30,000 boats over their heads down slippery docks with a serious lack of traction. Clothing articles of choice are spandex, sweatpants, and more spandex, which is good for showing off their super hot, super huge quad muscles. They have been known to spend 12-14 hours on a bus together to travel to races in horrible weather. For 6 weeks during winter training, these deranged athletes ravage and ruin their bodies on ergs (read: the rowing machines you incorrectly use at the gym) for the satisfaction of seeing a good time on their screen. They can jump on waist-high boxes on one leg, run faster than you, and they can probably bench press your body weight. While they normally have a lame to nonexistent social life, they completely shut down during coach-induced dry season. This is the life of a rower.

rower

rower- one who rows. a.k.a., one who competes in the sport of crew. More often than not, rowers do not fit into a pre-defined social category, but, in stead, prefer each other's company and don't put too much effort into outward appearance. Exceptions to this rule occur when rowing when the ugliest clothes available are always in fashion. Ever rower knows, however, that the ultimate fashion statement is embodied in an article of National Team Gear, which only the best rowers in the country can earn. Concentrations of rowers can be found, yet are not limited to New England, Philadelphia, Detroit, and the Pacific Coast. Rowers are usually really good guys.

2003 Princeton Heavyweight Freshman were a group of really good rowers. Four of them have been on a national team.

Tryhard Rower

A tryhard rower is a idiot that is too stupid to do anything related to academics so they have to join a sport that requires zero thinking processes and wave their arms around and flex their none existent muscles infront of all the intelligent human beings. Common names for tryhard rowers are: Ewan, Riley, Dylan, Braden, Martin and Nick. Tryhard Rowers also likes to eat bad pasta and drink badly mixed power drinks at the rowing races.

Oh Nick is being a tryhard Rower, he is getting teary and mad because we are not trying hard enough.

Mosman Rowers

n. A licensed premises located above the Mosman Rowing Club, in the affluent northern suburb of Mosman in Sydney, Australia. It is a famous 'pick-up' joint frequented by divorced females aged over 45. The women patrons are usually over-weight, well-worn (ugly and used-up), have dyed blond hair and wear inappropriately tight fitting clothing (borrowed from their 24 year old daughter's wardrobe). The male patrons are all baby boomer types over 50 years old, sporting a grey moustache (or other grey facial hair) and have a massive 'beer-gut' (fat stomachs). These sad creatures usually consume large amounts of alcohol before leaving with someone they have never met for a 5 minute session of 'grey-sex'.

Bill went to the Mosman Rowers to grab a granny. He needed 5 minutes of poor quality 'grey-sex'.

corporate rower

Describes the average corporate employee who is chained to an oar (desk) and rows to the corporate drum beat. Similar metaphorically to Charlton Heston (#41) in Ben Hur when he was chained to an oar below the deck of a galley and the manager is pounding the drum with the CEO commanding the speed.

Look at Bob he's a real corporate rower. Ramming speed #41!
