Selective schools are schools where certain 6th graders are chosen based on their selective test results. During their time in a selective school, they may suffer 'selective syndrome' which is when they loose their state of intellectuality (sometimes go insane, similar to being high/drunk) and become, what mainstream people call, 'normal' students.
"Hey Janice, what happened to Carol over there. She looks a bit unstable"
"Oh don't worry about her, she's got selective syndrome. It'll wear off sooner or later, hopefully"
"Well I hope it does since we have a maths test next period"
Selective schools are specific schools across Australia that accept 6th graders for high school when they pass the selective school test. During their time here, they may suffer from 'selective syndrome' (which can occur anytime and anywhere) where they loose their intellectuallity and succumb to the state of normallity (AKA the mainstream classes' state).

"Well I hope it does, since we have a maths test next period"

Selective Illiteracy Syndrome is a serious mental/moral impairment which afflicts individuals who disagree with something but do not examine the presented evidence in support of what they differ with -not because they canβt read- they habitually choose to NOT honestly read out of an irrational paralysing fear that those they disagree with just might be right!
Usually employed by contrarians, internet atheists, trolls and the lazy.

A.K.A. Albert Haynesworth disease. Known to affect large, unfit individuals on the Redkins offensive line after 1 to 2 consecutive plays. Symptoms include phantom ACL tears, "back spasms" and other clearly non-life threatening falls to the turf.
Oh shit, the Skins $100MM off-season championship Albert Haynesworth looks like he must have broken his femure - he's really writhing around on the ground...
No, dipshit, that's just his Selective Fatigue Syndrome. He'll eat a donut on the sideline and will be fine after he takes another 4 series off.
