slugged up

Slugged up can either mean having a bunch of tattoos or having a permanent grill. Both of the current definitions on here are correct.

The key factor of being slugged up is the permanence of a tattoo or gold crowns which is why both definitions are correct.

One can also say slugged out.

Mike flipped a pack and went got his whole arm slugged out the next day.

Wayne got his teeth knocked out and said fuck it and went got his whole mouth slugged up.

Expression common in South Wales

You shoulda seen Owen last night, he was hardly able to speak he was so drunk ......... he was standing by the bar, slugged up to his lugholes with a big bag of fish!

I always get slugged up to the lugholes on a Friday night!
