Student's Block

- The lack of motivation to study.
- When you have been studying so long you can't process what you're studying anymore.
- Your brain goes blank when you look at your notes and text.
- When called upon in class to discuss last night's assignment, you forget everything you read or studied.
- When you can't stop procrastinating, especially right before your finals.
- You can't remember what you studied when you look at the questions on your exam!
- When you simply stop caring about your studies.
- What you suffer from when you write out definitions for "student's block" 20 minutes before a paper is due, which you didn't even start.

A: "I don't want to work on my paper.... I just don't feel like it."
B: "I think you have student's block. Don't worry; we all get it some time or the other."

Student's Block

A serious condition when a person finds themselves unable to revise, study or concentrate on school work. Generally involves procrastination, spending time uselessly and using every excuse to avoid doing any work.

Person 1: Hey! We've got an exam in January, have you revised?
Person 2: Lol no, I've had student's block all Christmas

When a student attempts to begin an assignment (project, paper, reading, math, etc.) and can make no progress.

Friendface: How are you doing on your project?
You: Ahhh, terrible, I can't get anywhere.
Friendface: Oh, do you have student's block?
You: Yes, it's awful.
