talked home

When someone calls you after something that affects them, generally in a bad way, just to talk on their way home.
It is done for the companionship of being walked home when the person can't physically be there.

"thanks for talking me home from the pub last night, I was too drunk to get home on my own"
"I was talked home by my friend last night when I couldn't make it alone" "that was nice of them"

Talk Me Home

"Talk me Home" instead of "Walk me Home".

You ask a friend to talk to you while you're driving to keep you awake.

Phone Rings.... "Hey Mandy, this is Kristie, you have to "Talk Me Home"

Mandy: "What?"

Kristie: "You know....talk to me... to keep me awake while I'm driving."

Mandy: "B*tch, it's 2am and I'm trying to sleep, I have to work tomorrow."

Kristie: "Listen skank, if I fall asleep at the wheel, it'll be totally your fault."
