Telly Monster was a character on Sesame Street, who was obsessed with television. Not only was he obsessed with the "telly", but he was a notorious worry-wart. Personality-wise, Telly is a fidgeting, nervous wreck, prone easily to manic behavior and paranoia.

Oh look here comes Telly Monster, we can never watch TV with him around.
