tomboy phase

The phase where you cut your hair short, wear blue and green t-shirts, and have mostly male friends. Usually occurs in primary school. Often looked back on with distaste.

Jamie: OMG, did you see what Clara was wearing?
Kim: She must be going through the tomboy phase.
