the twitter community notes is open-source feature that allows users to add context to a post generally to correct any misinformation the post is spreading, its basically fact checking.
guy 1: why everytime i see a mainstream news post on twitter i see a

A witter community note is when a tweet is so false and so incorrect that people in twitter forget their disagreements for a second just to prove someone, or even YOU wrong. Finding a twitter community note is basically finding a seal of approval that whatever you have seen is made purely out of stupidity.
Guy 1: Hey, have you seen this tweet? I can't believe how accurate it is.
Guy 2: It's wrong, that has a Twitter community note on it you fucking dipshit.
