A totally self-contradictory term.
A fiction created by labor unions.
Tax Payer 1: I don't understand how that guy pays his bills. He hasn't been to work in months.
Tax Payer 2: He's a union worker. He doesn't have to go to work to get paid.

A person who has mastered the art of metal wizardry, can make miracles happen. Has the ability to make roofer mistakes disappear (AKA professional turd polisher). Also the only trade to make what they install, duct. Does the work right the first time. Welders are far Superior to pipe fitters (suck it).
Hey Jeff, i hired a few union sheet metal workers to hang the duct at the new building.
That's great Todd, i wouldn't want to freeze my ass off this winter because i hired someone else who didn't know what they were doing.

A worker who isn’t supported by a labour union, and thus doesn’t have a union to negotiate employment terms, wages, benefits, workplace health and safety, job training and other work-related issues, on their behalf.
“Why is Jimmy working so many hours of overtime without pay?”
“He’s a non-union worker, which means that he doesn’t have a labour union to represent him, so he doesn’t really have that much of a choice, currently.”
