Up the Beers

A shout-out for everyone to drink one's beer; to turn's one's beer up(side down) as in chugging. Similar to the shout-out 'Cheers' but with more implied emphasis on chugging one's beer.

A modulation of 'bottoms up'.

"Up the Beers!" <everyone proceeds to toss their beers back in such as fury as to have them upside down; as to chug.>

standing-up beer

The style/type of beer often consumed while standing up. These beer types are commonly characterized by:

- Heavy marketing to males
- Lower cost (less expensive)
- Higher volume (often purchased in bulk, i.e. 24-packs)

Standing-up beer can be consumed in a seated environment. "Standing up" is not an absolute requirement.

Standing-up beer is in direct contrast to sitting-down beer.

Common scenarios where standing-up beer is found:

- Outdoor barbecues
- Tailgating
- Bowling alleys
- NASCAR events
- Mowing the lawn

Sober-Up Beer

The sober-up beer, typically the last beer of the evening, is perfect for when you're either overserved or too full and need just one more before you go home. A watery, domestic light beer usually fits the bill, perfectly balancing hops, barley, and hydration.

"Hey Mike, do you need another drink? No, I've got an early morningmake it a sober-up beer."
