Proof Microsoft should be burned to the ground. They are now copying Googles GMail because they were losing power over e-mail users because anyone with half a brain or more (the rest of you stuck with MSN and shud die immediatly) moved to the better, faster, stronger service offered by Google.
(Google is now becoming corrupt and stupid too and still refuses to offer Linux/Mac OS programs but its still better than Microsoft)
Zomg look! Google has a new service that offers 1000x the storage we do and dosent use 10 AD's a page or dozens of cliparts/icons everywhere you look! I cant beleive it there pages actually LOAD sometimes too! We have to do something about this!
I HAVE AN IDEA LETS OFFER 250 MEGS, THATS SO AMAZING THAT NOBODY WILL EVER LOOK ELSEWHERE...
but they did...
LETS JUST COPY THEM DAMNIT!
And thus, Windows Live was born!

Windows Live Messenger is pretty much exactly the same as MSN 7.5 . The main differences in it is that there is more advertisments; a different colour sceme; The ability to VOIP and thats about it. Nothing much seems to be gained by putting this out. It also looks to be a way to get money from the stupid little kids who accidently VOIP their freinds homephone instead of VOIPing the computer. By putting MSN Live onto the computer you end up making others not able to use MSN because their accounts are not allowed to use the beta. This of course can be solved by sending them one of the five invites you get to send to them. Is it worth it? No, unless your lucky enough to get an invite(easy). It's alot like Gmail.
"Hey Jack, I just got Windows Live Messenger!"
"No way!"
"Yeah way, wana copy of the download file."
"Hell yeah!"
~2 minutes later~
"WTF it's not working."
"Oh yeah, I didn't send you an invite and I don't have any more."

When you have nothing else to do, and suicide is not an option, you can use it to talk to people that you would otherwise ignore. A useful tool for internet perverts and loners.
Dave: I go on Windows Live Messenger every night.
Everyone else: Dave is such a loser!

The new name for MSN Messenger when, what was suppose to be MSN 8, comes out. This is because Microsoft are re-branding many of there famous products, such as, Microsoft Office which is planned to be one of the things integrated into WLM.
Bill Gates: Hey, lets change MSN Messenger to Windows Live Messenger and throw away the whole of MSN and the MSN butterfly because I suck!

Microsoft's answer to why it didn't include major apps, like an E-Mail client, with its latest operating system release (Windows 7). Windows Live Essentials includes a bunch of things such as Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Movie Maker, Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Live Messenger. Don't let the similarities fool you though. The Windows Live Essentials apps are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE compared to their predecessors (which were included built in to Windows Vista). This is the key reason I choose not to upgrade to Windows 7, because they will not include the awesome apps that are included with Vista.
Windows Mail (Windows Vista included app), for example, works similarly to Mac OS X's Mail app, which is amazing and the standard for all E-Mail clients, however Windows Live Mail (included with WLE and the only option for Windows 7 users) puts the entire view in a totally un standard, confusing format and doesn't even save contacts correctly if your using Windows 7, as 7 does not include an address book (or even a calendar for that matter). That's just ONE of the horrors that await Windows 7 owners looking into downloading Windows Live Essentials since Windows 7 does NOT include major features like previous OS's. If your on Vista or even XP, STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAP. The only thing it has of value to you is Windows Live Messenger, ignore the other crappy features, they are less useful then dial-up.

A new version of Windows movie maker for the release of Windows. However, it's even crappier that the last version. It has much less functionablity, with the same frequency of crashes. It's even less easy to use, unless you're doing a slideshow with some song you have lying around on your computer, you're going to have difficulty working with it. The only thing going for it is that it supports a large number of video formats instead of just like two Windows developed formats.
When I saw Microsoft had developed a new video editor, Windows Live Movie Maker, I thought that it could be an improvement over the failure of the last version. HOW WRONG WAS I?
