klub extreme

An extremely bad club in Golders Green, London. About the size of my living room, and filled with tossers with moustakis.

Someone: "Let's go to klub extreme!"
Me: "Let's not."

motorway

Large, dual carriageway road with special status (in UK, Ireland, Australia). International equivalents: Interstate, Autobahn, autostrada. No stopping, u-turns, etc. Maximum speed limit (in UK) 70mph/110kph. In practice the police leave you alone up to 100mph/160kph. No speed cameras are allowed on ordinary motorways (eg no roadworks, or otherwise reduced speed limits). Due to poor planning and low government spending on all transport, UK motorways are notoriously congested (the busiest stretch or road in Europe, the M6 through Birmingham, has only 3 lanes each way).

Shall we take the motorway or the a-roads?

"Stop waffling and tell me how much it costs!!!"

Harringay

Obscure area of north London, between Finsbury Park and Wood Green. Built in late 19th century, home to large Turkish population and (several) students due to low rents. The main street, Green Lanes is the home of the kebab and gun crime. Often confused with Haringey, the London borough which contains Harringay (the area).

"Lock the doors- we're driving through Harringay"
