Any pair of women's pants that are "uncool" because they look like something your mom or grandma would wear. This often includes "relaxed fit" jeans, jeans that taper down to the ankles, anything in a old-school floral pattern, anything TOO stretchy, etc.

1) Girls who are bullies and use "girl agression" (nasty comments, trickery, deceit, excluding people from events, spreading rumors, stealing boyfriends,etc.) to manipulate other girls. They will use text messaging, AIM, email, three-way-calling, and any other weapon at their disposal to acheieve these goals.

These girls are often popular because everyone is either afraid of them or wants to be like them. They tend to have armies of followers ("friends"/wannabees) comprising their clique. However, few people actually like them for who they are.
2) A movie based on Rosalind Wiseman's book "Queen Bees and Wannabees" which takes an intimate look at the inner workings of a high school and the all-powerful girl clique who seem to run it. Starred Lindsey Lohan before she went blonde and possibly anorexic, and therefore was still "hot" (see some other definitions). Very highly watched among the high school population as many girls could actually relate to the story.
1) "Those popular girls are always fighting with each other and manipulating everyone else. They're real Mean Girls."

1)*predominant usage of the word* Contact lenses, AKA small pieces of plastic (which these days are usually pretty soft, as compared to the older, stiffer "hard" contacts) which are basically stuck on your eyeball as a replacement for glasses. They have grown in popularity in the last several years, to the point where many people have them because they
a)find them better than glasses
or b)think they'll look cooler without their glasses.
Watching people put in contacts is rather gross, and some people will tell you they hurt a lot or aren't worth all the trouble they cause. But many others love having contacts and would never go back to wearing glasses.

2) My contacts within the agency told me that the president was planning to unleash a new program soon.
When marching band students have to attend a program (either at their school or somewhere else, like a summer camp or college) for a period of time averaging about a week (depends on the school). Here they practice their instruments, learn/memorize songs for the upcoming season, and learn drills and how to march. For some people, it's the best time of their lives, for others it's a living hell. It all depends on the particular school and band.
-Despite common perception, not all band camps are merely staging grounds for sexual activity. Some schools enlist the help of band parents in chaperoning the trip to make sure that the students (particularly the freshmen) don't get away with anything illegal or sexual in nature. Furthermore, sources show that most flute players have never shoved their flute into any part of their bodies, despite the line about it in American Pie.
Typical band camp activities may include: Marching, standing in the hot sun for hours, getting eaten alive by bugs, marching, playing instruments, getting weird tan lines, marching, choking down partially edible food, coming up with strange inside jokes nobody outside of band will ever understand, getting soaked, getting lost in nearby woods at night, sleeping, pulling off pranks, and oh yeah, more marching.
2)An excuse to tell a long (or not so long), funny, and often stupid story.
3)Where all your friends in band are during the summer. (also a viable excuse for not seeing your friends if you're in band.)
1)A few weeks before school started, the Anytown High School marching band went to band camp.
2)"This one time at band camp... we got lost in the woods on our way to practice and then these moquitoes that were like THIS BIG attacked us so I fended them off with my clarinet and then Jimmy jumped out at us and I got so scared I hit him with my clarinet too..."
3)-"Dude, I haven't seen you since July... where were you?"
-"Yeah, I was at band camp."
One of those kids you usually see in middle and high schools (the age when people start to assert their individuality) who are awesome at art, take as many art classes as they can, and are constantly drawing, painting, or photographing something. They often may be drawing on themselves or their belongings with sharpie marker.
Many also are highlly individualistic and may choose to die their hair interesting colors, cut it it strange ways, or dress in a rather offbeat manner. Many also started various trends (such as wearing Converse shoes) before they became mainstream.
Some are into theater or the performing arts. They are sort of a high school version of bohemians. (meant in the nonconformist sense of the word)
NOTE: (not at all to be confused with emo kids, as this is a totally different idea, though some art kids are emo and some emo kids are artsy in nature.)
Ex. I joined the school newspaper and there were a lot of art kids there. Some of them are pretty cool.
Humor where you put yourself down.
Sometimes funny, but sometimes overused fishing for compliments or a signal of low self-esteem.
