A phrase stated when wanting someone to consider your thought or opinion.
"But think about it, Pavlov probably thought about feeding his dogs every time someone rang a bell"
The phrase used to identify a group of people that are gifted with high levels of narcissism. These people demand that their feeling are more important than known facts and demand we bow to their "More Important" needs to use terminology and verbiage of their own creation and reinforce their small sense of mutually developed pseudo-reality.
Which again is why facts stay away from this movement. as facts do sometimes hurt feelings. And hurt feelings destroy the reality bubble they reside in. So they fight reality by calling those that come with facts name such as xxxphobe etc. Public shaming that bring facts to where they are now being written again to include feelings. Not generally a real threat in small groups, large groups expect herd mentality and violence as they can only hold 1 thought at a time.
Gary just got into it with the director of It's About ME!! Movement today. Their leader didn't like he prepared a speech for next session that included same sex spaces again.

When a right winger, Conservative, or
Republican attempts to avoid an issue by a weak deflection.
Example: "But what about...? these
parasitic corporations and the ultra wealthy who pay zero taxes from whom you take large campaign contributions?
You know the shadowy billionaire financial vampires who suck the wealth out of the system, keeping us all in a financially anemic state!
"But what about...? (Fill in lame deflection topic here) the people who commit fraud by going to food banks when they have resources? Those are
the ones who burden society!!
A "But what about...?" deflection can often be an outright lie, or something made up that is preposterous. The function is to get away from the point that cant be defended.
