Parallel Distributed Network
An information processing system that uses input units linked to hidden units which are linked to output units to transmit, store and process information. Each input unit is something like a neuron and the links between units are known as connection wieghts which are akin to a neural synapse.
Connectionist Theory asserts that a PDP network is the best representation of the human brain structure.
