Threads

Mark Zuckerberg’s attempt at creating an imitation Twitter

Mark Zuckerberg: Hey, did you sign up for Threads yet?
Mark Zuckerberg’s wife: No! Why would I already have a Twitter account and it’s the exact same thing

Thread rerailing

The act of bringing a horribly-derailed thread back on track, much to the annoyance of the idiotic derailers.

I've always loved CR's subtle thread rerailing.

/thread

/thread is used ironically uncommonly
when someone quotes dumb post/s on the imageboard and sums up ironically the value of the message behind them

When posting for example on lgbt board things like;
The female body is beautiful and aesthetic. You'd have to be fucked in the head to not like it.

and the other user quotes your post and writes;
/thread

Archived Thread

When threads die it becomes a creature called 'archived thread' or it's other name 'nonexistent thread', the threads can be brought back to life with a magical spell called Dms or Discord Messages aka typing in a powerful box which in doing this will bring back the sad, lifeless being back to life from its archived hell

Person 1 : Typingus Messagicus
Person 2 : wow the archived thread returned back to life

Martyr Thread

From time to time certain posts are made on forums / bulletin boards that are in conflict with the focus or view of the board owner or community. At these times the thread maybe closed (ie no more posts accepted) or deleted.

The said thread can then become a rallying point, or Martyr for disruptive community / individual behavior.

Someone brings up a controversial issue / matter which subsequently causes arguments and unacceptable forum behavior. The post is then closed, after which persons begin opening new threads that refer to the closed issue in rebellion to the authority that administrates the board. Community members may also form factions which can then cause further community instability.

The thread could then be called a Martyr Thread.

de-threading

de-threading v. Extracting your thong underwear out of your crack.

Did you see that girl de-treading, right there in the elevator? Man she was hot, but it must been up in there, she was doing some major de-threading surgery.
