Named after video game giant Capcom, whose games often did this (i.e. Dead Rising series, showing the zombies become more aggressive at night for the first time, and later Resident Evil games, such as showing a broken ladder in a cutscene in RE5)

The title of the ground astronaut on the console with the "Push to Talk" button was the "Capsule Communicator", abbreviated to "CapCom".
