1. Taking conclusions without enough supporting premises (or even no supporting premises at all)
2. Forcing two irrelevant shits to be related
This word is a wordplay of leap of faith with faith being replaced by logic
List of leap of logic:
1. Cocoklogi (non causa pro causa/questionable cause fallacy)
2. Black and white/either-or/false dilemma
3. Being overdramatic (a.k.a. Slippery Slope and Strawman)
4. Argument from ignorance (we don't know X, therefore X is wrong)
5. Hasty generalization
Whoa, both the Left and the Right are the experts of mental gymnastics and leap of logic!
Logic that, if heard or read, will make sense briefly. But will not hold up under any amount of scrutiny. Bumper sticker logic will pass the smell test, but fails to hold up under deeper inspection.
“Believe all women” that is a great statement, but am I supposed to believe Ghislaine Maxwell, nah man, that is just bumper sticker logic
To make sense of something.
It’s hard to logicate my feeling, when I don’t understand what I’m feeling.
Said when someone has dome or said something that is not logical
Mom: Nick, you just walked OUT of the livingroom to get your home work that's in the livingroom.
Nick: uh...
Isaiah: The logics!
When a person's logical does not make any sense at all.
John: I think 2+2=19
Adam: That's Kentucky Logic
Logic, that while is true doesn't stand up against much.
Bob: A turtle is only a turtle because we call it that.
Bobette: That's poofy logic, man.
A holiday celebrated annually on October 5th (Neil DeGrasse Tyson's birthday) that celebrates science, nature, and logic. You eat bacon (although it isn't required), enjoy science and nature, and give gifts related to those things. Let's all do it! Spread the word! # logicday
Every year my family celebrates Logic Day by visiting our local museum.
