When you cant remember a name of any object or person so you call it a thingy thing

" Hey can you pass me the thingy thing that is red"

generic term for an item who's name you cannot remember at that given time

-Person 1- "may i have uh, you know, um, that, uh, that thingy thing, you know, um, the one, on the table, by the pepper..."
-Person 2- "you mean the salt?"
-Person 1- "Yeah! that's it!"
