A person that is "wholly" incompetent; doesn't know their foot from their ass.
That witness I had to call was a soup sandwich...definite not guilty on this one.
Someone who does not have a stable place to live nor does this person have a job because they are constantly getting kicked out of their home or fired from their job. A scratcher is always roaming the neighborhood searching for opportunistic crimes. They will steal your bike, burglarize your car, trespass and pee in your bushes.
This is the third time this year I have had this scratcher in my caseload.
The sound a frustrated, over-worked and tired prosecutor makes when he finally closes out a case that has been dragging on forever.

Prosecutors in trial are at the end of the line. They have to fix missteps by law enforcement, class up a bad witness and plug every hole in a case to be able to sell the case to the jury. This process requires a boat load of "hot sauce" to be poured on a case.
I had to hot sauce this last Burglary trial I had.
