1. A term used in Hinduism, the native religion of India and third largest religion in the world behind Christianity and Islam. Hinduists believe that a person reincarnates until they achieve an understanding of the relationship between God(known by Bhrama or Atman) and man. The state at which this is achieved is known as nirvana, and person who has achieved this is known as a guru. It is believed that once nirvana is achieved, a person will achieve the aftelife, rather than reincarnating.

They saved the music industry from racist bands like Guns and Roses, from bands worried more on their look and how much money they'll make than on the soul of the music. If Kurt was still alive none of us would have to go through the torture of bling-bling rappers or meaningless good charlotte.

Considered by many one of the greatest rock bands of all time. They had raw lyrics and their guitars were never tuned, but thats what made them good. They didnt have to use tons of little machines to play their music. Tragically, the front man of Nirvana killed himself of an overdose of drugs. He was in some ways mentally ill, it wasn't that he couldn't handle fame, it was that he couldn't handle success. If you read his biography it will tell you all about his childhood and how horrible it was.
Nirvana is a grunge band from Seattle in the early 90's.
