nu metal

a genre of music that is held in low regards by most true metal fans. Nu metal bands are not nessecarily sell-outs or wannabe's, its just the image that is shown by bands such as linkin park, there are how ever nu metal bands that make proper music. A great example of this is Deftones, who played a large part in the pioneering of the genre. One of the few talented nu metal bands left, is a true example of Nu metal

metal: they fucking suck, all nu metal does
fence sitter: not all nu metal sucks, take Deftones for example, they are true musicians
LPfan: who?
metal: oooh those guys, yeah they rock
