Dark Comedy

When a TV show or movie uses taboo subjects like death, cancer, racism, old age, rape, guns, domestic abuse, drugs etc is the source of the laughter. That's why it's dark.

ie. Archer, South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy

I love watching dark comedy shows. They crack me up!!

Grass widow

When a woman becomes a widow NOT BECAUSE HER HUSBAND DIED but due to other circumstances. Those reasons may also include a husband (and father, if kids were involved) that leaves home abandoning his wife (and child/ren) never to return. The term "grass widow" was introduced in the 1920s/30s.

For years, Katie Moreland didn't tell her only son Meredith, that his father didn't in fact die. Lane Moreland didn't want to bear the responsibility of raising a family so young, so he packed up his stuff and left, leaving Katie a grass widow.

patronizes another person, making the latter feel 4 inches tall. The former thinks s/he is better, having more worth than the latter--and let's others around them know it.

"How can Cooper say a thing like that to me?" laments Ainsley.
"Your cousin is such a bitch,"responded Morgan.
"Every time I'm around her, I feel so dwarfed. So worthless."

Slizz

A word usually used by an ex-girlfriend who's slightly jealous when her ex-boyfriend is now with a new girlfriend. Also used when a girl learns her boyfriend was tempted to cheat with a flirtatious girl who is/was attracted to him.
Even though he confesses he almost cheated but didn't, the girlfriend forgives him. She and her friends refer to the other woman as "that slizz."

Kennedy: So what does the slizz look like?
Regan: She's Russian. She's supposed to be a model. You're so much better looking! She's ugly.
Kennedy: And yet, Morgan's going out with her, and I'm here pining away for him--again.
