Shmoo

A blob like architectural monstrosity forced upon an unsuspecting public. Typically the torturous revenge of artistically “form above function” inclined Architects exacted upon the inevitably “function before form” structural engineer of a project. Often can be found on exteriors of buildings increasing the risk of seismic collapse, or inside where they reduce clearance, increase clutter, or otherwise counter-intuitively change a space.

"Did you see what the architect has on the plan for the new building? It's this huge oval with holes out of drywall hanging from the ceiling. What a shmoo!
