Sarcapathy

A union of the words apathy and sarcasm. Expressing one's apathy with contempt that is not discernable by others as real or facetious.

Amway Salesman: "If you sell 18 feather dusters to everyone in your downline, you can be a millionaire in three weeks!"

Salesman's Brother-in-law: "You need a breath mint."

Empathy

Pretending to care about someone else's problems so they will like and/or trust you. Sympathy without commitment. A politically correct conversational side-step.

Well Bob, I imagine being blind makes seeing difficult for you. If I were blind it would be difficult for me too.
