Windrow

The mound of dirt following the inside of a dirt karting track, mostly in Australian dirt karting. The windrow is the dirt karting equivalent of a curb in bitumen karting, and is usually around 25 cm high and 30 cm wide.

Person 1: The race was going well until I clipped the windrow and spun around!
Person 2: Lucky you didn't flip like John did the other week

Nassau Panel

The technical term for the "nose" of a go-kart. The nassau panel is located in front of the steering column, and is commonly connected to the front bumper. The nassau panel is made from plastic, and is where the driver number is located.

Person 1: My nassau panel got smashed in when I spun around and someone went head on into me!
Person 2: Well I just bought a new aerodynamic one
Person 1: You know this is karting? We don't go fast enough for that to do anything.
