Alain Prost

Undoubtedly one of the best Formula 1 drivers, scoring second among most wins, behind Schumacher and just ahead of Senna, although Senna's career ended prematurely. Greatest rival of Ayrton Senna and vice versa. Debuted in F1 with McLaren in 1980 and stayed with McLaren up until the end of 1989, leaving because he felt Senna was getting more attention and admitted to hating Senna. Won the World Championship four times, three with McLaren (1985, 1986, 1988) and once with Williams (1993) in the best car of the year by far. Retired after winning the Championship in 1993 and regained his respect for Senna especially after his death in 1994 and said that he would never sit in a Formula 1 car to show his respect.

As they go through Becketts, Prost passes Senna -- no, Senna regains position! Coming back around, Prost goes for it again on the first corner, moving up, and no again, Senna doesn't let him pass! Finally Prost overtakes Senna on the Hanger Straight, thanks to the superior car.

Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960-1994)

The most talented person ever to drive a Formula 1 race car, back in the days when there was actually competition. Raced with McLaren for six years, winning the Driver's Crown three times (1988, 1990, 1991). Known as the "rainmaster" for his absolutely unmatchable wet-weather performance. Won the Monaco Grand Prix six times, three of which in an inferior car than his rivals. Still holds the record for most pole positions (65) despite a fatally-shortened career. Was killed in San Marino, Italy, in 1994 with Williams-Renault when his steering column snapped near the end of the Tamburello corner in Imola and crashed into the wall, which caused a suspension spring from his front right wheel to detach itself and pierce through his head.

Michael Schumacher

The most successful driver in Formula 1, bearing literally almost every single record including most wins, most wins in a single season and most championship titles, however, does not hold the all-time pole position record, despite being only one pole away. Won the World Championship seven times, twice with Benetton (1994-1995) and five times with Ferrari (2000-2004). Without a doubt the best driver in his era but has severely lacked competition, which drivers in the '80s and early '90s had to face all the time. Unfortunately Michael barely had time to show his skills in fighting amongst drivers such as Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost but from what he demonstrated he could keep up and sometimes pass.

Michael Schumacher finishes second in the 2004 Belgian Grand Prix to clinch his seventh, and fifth consecutive, World Championship!
