Used to account for one's surprisingly good fortunes or previously unknown talents. A way to rationalize when something happens that far exceeds the known abilities of someone or something.
I thought going into the fantasy football draft this year that it would be a total crapshoot, but I was able to luck box a crenshaw team that is rock chalk to win the championship.
