Companion tension

As a friend to someone, and you try to help them out in a very tense way. Not normally a calm helpful way.

"Dee, I think you have gained some weight..."
"Dick, What is that suppoed to mean? "
"I am saying you need to cut the pounds! "
"Ah, well that's just mean, Dick! "
"No, it's called Companion tension! "
