Wittgensteined

(adj.)

To have a pure and formal research interest be ridiculed by an arrogant newcomer who studied a discipline that relies on applications of your own (and may have studied your exact research as a much younger student).

I would have kept my professorship, but I was Wittgensteined by a college student who read my work with a computer engineering tutor when he was five years old.
