A chat application - look to your right, you'll probably see an ad of it - where you can create a 3D avatar, chat in 3D rooms and perform actions with the other avatars (users).
You can also customise your avatar by using credits (IMVU's virtual currency) to buy stuff from other players.

IMVU is the most popular 3D chat application.
