Piece of ScHmITt

Any kind of plagiarized writing by persons of power. Term coined after the doctoral thesis of Hungarian President Pal Schmitt. A Piece of ScHmITt can be distinguished from other forms of plagiarism by the author’s reliance on political or other means of control to circumvent standards and avoid being held accountable once their fraud is exposed.

Dude 1: Have recently found out that our head of department plagiarized my father’s writing.
Dude 2: Sure, but it’s a Piece of ScHmITt, so there’s nothing you can do about it.

have a boehner for

To push through legislation by reliance on lobbyists acting in the interest of corporations with the aim to fuck the 99%.

CFO: Boy, this climate change debate in Congress is going to end up costing us more in taxes.
CEO: Don’t worry, we have a boehner for it.

doctoral feces

A doctoral thesis resulting from fraud (typically plagiarism or ghostwriting) as opposed to one based on genuine scholarship. Smells foul only after being exposed but then sticks to the author for life. Exposure usually leads to the revoking of the doctoral degree.

A Piece of ScHmITt (see related entry) constitutes a subtype with a high potential to attract media exposure, although it accounts for only a small portion of all doctoral feces produced.

Not long after our professors started using plagiarism detector software retroactively, they realized doctoral feces are piling up in our faculty library.
