The word first arose in 1996 in my feverish imagination when I was confronted by a New York City lawyer whose office was cluttered with meaningless memorabilia. I saw nothing memorable or valuable about much of his stuff and chose to redefine it.

Some people like to collect memorabilia. I like to throw away forgetabilia.

Although his parents experienced longevity, being hit by a bus resulted in his unexpected shortgevity.

What a really bad comedian engages in.

We thought we might enjoy the comedy club but apparently the comedian had taken a mirth control pill and wasn't funny at all.
