Hold my fingers

Similar to “I’ll hold my tongue.” But if you are texting you hold your fingers back from saying something you probably shouldn’t.

Person: “I think it’s funny to say I’m dumping my balls.”

Me: “I will hold my fingers so I don’t text something inappropriate.”
