rancid jissom

A euphemism coined by William S. Burroughs, used in the same sense as the metaphor "finding the common thread," albeit implying the 'common thread' is itself something awful; junk addiction, in Burroughs' case.

"The world network of junkies, tuned on a cord of rancid jissom, tying up in furnished rooms, shivering in the junk-sick morning." -from 'Naked Lunch'
