Originally the title of a song from the MM...FOOD album by MF DOOM, in his fanbase it's used to describe friends that betray, lie, or are all around bad people, referencing the original song being about those very people.

Person 1: One time my old friends all cut me off out of nowhere
Person 2: Damn, you had some deep fried frenz

Someone who is as insignificant as they are an asshole.
