drumline

1.The drumline consists of both the battery percussion (bass drums, snares, and tenor drums) and the pit (mallet percussion, auxiliary percussion, ect.) The battery percussion hijacked the name over the years because they technically are play drums while the frontline ensemble plays mallet instruments.

2. The most cocky section in the marching band. The frontline ensemble half of it is usually ok, but the battery percussion believe that they are almighty and are to cool for everyone else in the band

1. Person 1: DUDE! LIKE CHECK OUT THE DRUMLINE ROCKIN IT ON THE FIELD WHILE MARCHING

Person 2: Hey Dumbass, only half of the drumline marches, i think ur talkin about the battery percussion.

2. Person 1: How come the battery has "drumline" on the back of their letterman jackets and the frontline ensemble just has "marching band" on the back of theirs

Person 2: Because the batter percussion is a bunch of cocky bastards and think that their to cool to have marching band on the back of theirs so they put drumline. The fronline ensemble on the other hand believes everyone in the marching band is important so they have marching band.
