Shadowplay

The name of tech company NVIDIA's buffer recording software, which allows the user to capture the past few minutes of footage after the fact. Mostly used as a verb, people now use the term to reference any sort of buffer recording, whether via the actual Shadowplay interface or through OBS, Mirillis Action!, or any other recording software.

Dude, that triple kill was insane! Shadowplay that!

Get out the ruler

An abbreviation of "To get out the ruler and compare dicks," the phrase "getting out the ruler" or "to get out the ruler" means to size up one's accomplishments with another's, or to one-up them.

I ran two miles in under 15 minutes yesterday!
Well, not to get out the ruler, but I ran two miles in under 13 minutes a few weeks ago.

Forced Censorship

When a Kidz Bop song uses horribly inaccurate, cringy lyrics to cover up swear words.

Man have you heard some of the forced censorship Kidz Bop has been including lately? I heard them say: "Walk up to the club like: "Whaddup I got a hit song- I'm so pumped I got some clothes from the Thrift Shop."
