Emo is just another stupid stereotype. Emo does not mean you listen to MCR and Fall Out Boy all the time. Emo does not mean you cut yourself. Emo is just another label.

Apparently, it has become cool to be uncool. So many people out there have labeled themselves emo, even though so many others call emos "fags". The vast majority of people that label themselves are just poseurs.

Both boys and girls that are eventually going to be labeled emo usually have:
-tight jeans
-hair that covers at least one eye
-a playlist containing either bands that others have labeled emo, or bands that few have ever heard of
-tight tee shirts, probably a band shirt
-eyeliner
-Converse or Vans

In my world, these kinds of things are perfectly normal, even the tight jeans and eyeliner on guys. But some people choose to label these people emo.

Emo does not actually mean anything. Emo is actually just another stupid label given to people that don't fit someone else's version of normal.

OK, rant over.

Tight jeans and eyeliner on a guy doesn't make that guy emo. Labeling that guy emo makes him emo.
