Pejorative term for a person perceived to be an anarchist, conspiracy theorist or a member of the Libertarian Party in the United States. These individuals are scorned as they are thought to be rebellious for the sake of contentiousness with merely a nebulous agenda. origin thought to be a parody of Teabagger, a devotee of the TEA Party movement in the U.S.

Some of those Occupy Wall Street protesters are not true liberals, but freakish firebags who are a hindrance to progressive politics.
