Nickname for the town of Boonville, Indiana.
On the roads that lead into Boonville, there are "gold" (it's really yellow) and black signs that say the usual 'Welcome to Boonville'. There is also a picture of a pioneer, which is the Boonville High School Mascot. Apparently, some extremely bored and daring teenagers felt that the sign didn't have enough personality. They preceded to spray paint the word 'Boonvegas' in red across one of the signs, hince where the nickname came from.
Boonvegas is home of the pioneers, but all the teenagers will tell you it's more like we're home of the hicks. No offense.
