Colonial mindset

A deep routed inferiority complex that people of an ethnic group or country, usually with a colonised history (India, Philippines, Carribbean, African countries) have towards white people (usually British).

Alatunde has a colonial mindset. When he's at work he puts on a fake posh accent to impress his white employer. He was talking about marrying a white blonde girl as a symbol of wealth and status but deep down isn't confident enough to approach a random girl.

Being english about it

You don’t do people any favours, go above and beyond or do anything above your pay grade. If it does not benefit you directly you don’t want to know.

I asked Bill to help me but he was ignoring me and being english about it. He didn’t wanna know because the task is not in his job description.
