peach

'peetch' (Harsh P, long 'eee' sound, 'ch' as in 'channel'.)
One syllable, five letters.

An averagely sized fruit, pinkish in color. Very soft and sweet, thus, making it difficult to keep fresh.
At a grocery store, they, as many fruit are, cheaper when in season, more expensive when not. Peaches have a single, solitary seed, known as a core or pit.

This week, Peaches may be bought at $3.99 a pound.
