Verb: to be promised or guaranteed something only for that something to be denied due to a lack of work or planning or due diligence of the other party that promised or guaranteed it in the first place.

“Oh, I was getting my COVID vaccine that was guaranteed in February, but now it’s been delayed. I’ve been Scomo’d!”

“I had planned to be home from overseas by Christmas, as promised by the Prime Minister, but it’s February now and there’s still no available flights home. Scomo’d again.”
