Term used when someone texts you twice on your smartphone BEFORE you text them back.
More common than the elusive triple grey, that holy grail of male-female interaction.

"He text me last night, I didn't reply, so he text again this morning! I know, total grey-grey situation!"

"He replied with just a smiley face?! In that case, you can't reply, you have to hang on in there for the grey-grey! Then you know he's interested..."
