McDonald's Raise

Receiving the least satisfying or bare minimum version of something you wanted, like asking for a raise at McDonald's and only getting ten cents.

Me: So did you get those clothes you wanted for Christmas?
Friend: Nope, I just got socks.
Me: Oh so your mom just gave you a McDonald's Raise?
Friend: Pretty much.
